The well

I love working with wax, the warmth of it, the smell, the ability to build up and scrape away. Working with encaustic engages your senses. This piece exhibits techniques I often use in my work - photo transfers, accretion, and pronounced sculptural elements, as well as eliciting, for me, a sense of longing. Longing for what?
