The Hum

the hum (2012)

In "The Hum" we explore the idea of computers that communicate ephemerally through alterations of room and space. By integrating the capabilities of technological feedback into a naturalistic, immersive installation we simulate a more immediate dialogue with the natural world with the goal of reestablishing a curiosity of and connection with our surroundings.

Shown at the Artel in Kingston in 2012, at TEI (Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interactions) Conference in 2012, and Grow-Op (Gladstone Annual Exhibition of Contemporary Art) in 2013.
